Let us start “the first single step”: Created at Oxford, Sharing with the World via UK and Hong Kong
We see what we are attempting to do as like the brainchild of the thoughts and ideas of many philosophers and thinkers in history, among which Adam Smith is the most important and foundational.
Our strategy to have them originated from Oxford but disseminating to the world through two principal places: UK/London for the West and Hong Kong for the East. Hence comes our slogan: Created at Oxford, Sharing with the World via UK and Hong Kong.
Let us start “the first single step” with the Firms, at Oxford, the UK and Hong Kong
Our idea is to start with the Firms; and then Integrate them with the Market and then kick-starting a Virtuous Cycle between them.
And we shall start with the Firms at Oxford, the UK and Hong Kong; and Firms, in the Coasian sense, encompass all “visible hands” which can include University; Charity Organisations; Enterprises; Families or family offices and many others.

The idea of University as a social institution can be dated back to 387 BC when Plato founded the Academy in Athens, after his over 10 years trip to the Mediterranean and various other areas which he went into after the trial of Socrates on 399 BC.
One of the principal idea behind Plato’s founding of The Academy is the engendering of “justice” in society; with free enquiry on all aspects of humanities and the world being one of its main hallmark. Such novel and path-breaking idea has managed to carry on for a few hundred more years but was subsequently destroyed. It then took the accidental re-discovery of the works of Cicero (106-43 BC) about a thousand years later and the subsequent ushering in of the Renaissance to rekindle it. Then, we saw the rise of University as a social institution driving progress in Human societies, with the birth of Science, the Scottish Enlightenment and many others.

That said, increasingly, Modern Universities seem to be moving more towards becoming increasingly like very large bureaucracies focusing more and more on vocational training. We can see and understand why this becomes the case but would think that this is somewhat sad and unfortunate. To the extent we can, we wish we could explore and develop an alternative path for Universities whereby they can preserve more of their roots.
We shall propose to continue to see University as the cradle for new ideas and that that the University and its staff and students need to have the freedom to pursue whatever interest them the most and it shall be upto the robustness of the university and other institutions associated with it to make the best use of those ideas being produced. We attempt to add to that robustness through focusing on bringing two main types of ideas produced by the University to the society first: i) those related to human wellness ; and ii) those related to other aspects of Humanities especially economic and social institutions and the Capital Market.
University as a potential engine for progress in Humanities

We concur with Keynes on the importance of ideas in the society and would see the production and dissemination of great ideas and insights as vital for the betterment of societies.
President Woodrow Wilson once made a remark that “every man sent out from a university should be a man of his nation as well as a man of his time.” This was echoed by John Masefield who once said that “ There are few earthly things more beautiful than a university” because it is “ a place where those who hate ignorance may strive to know, where those who perceive truth may strive to make others see.’
We see University as a special social institution and indeed can be seen as a special type of firm in the Coasian Firm-Market paradigm we adopt for analysing the society. As such, we think there are special roles the University can play in the society. We see University as a special engine for progress in Humanities and would look for ways to bring out its potential in this regard. We pursue a strategy of “Created at Oxford, Sharing with the world via London and Hong Kong.” The OXSIGHT and Humanities shall be the first example and we plan to continue to add to the list and would see HK and HK Companies’ contribution to this as among their major ESG acheivements pursuant to our paradigm on ESG.

What is Oxsight and Humanities?
We propose to see The Oxsight as the beginning of a tie-up between HK and the Oxford University and its contributions to Humanities, revolving around two areas:
1) Five key elements of Human Wellness (Eyesight, Hearing, Mobility, Neuro (Brain) health (especially Alzheimer); Therapeutic implants (Organs repairing)
2) Another social-economy experiment aiming towards engendering a Virtuous Cycle between the Firms and the Market which shall help to lead us moving towards the attainable of what he sees as attainable for the free market capitalist commercial society.
We focus on Five areas of Human Wellness..
1.Eyesight
2.Hearing
3.Mobility
4.Neuro Health (especially about brain/ Alzheimer)
5.Therapeutic Implants (organs repairing)
Starts with OXSIGHT, Ends with an unending journey on Humanities..
We see Humanities as consisting of two sides: one is on the practical side of physical wellness of Human beings focusing on 5 main areas: eyesight; hearing; mobility; neuro (brain) health; and theuraptic implants (organs repairing).
The other side is on the more abstract side of Humanities, and we shall focus on 3 main areas first:
-The Role of Firms in Modern Economies
-The Global Capital Market
-Real Estate as an asset class and the dynamics between Public and Private Real Estate
The Oxsight and Humanities is about using ideas and R&D developed at Oxford for the betterment of Humanities.

The pilot scheme for a new and revolutionary concept in Philanthropy aiming at creating a sustainable virtuous cycle driving the attainment of the kind of self-interest-and-virtue blended free market capitalist commercial society as envisaged by Adam Smith, which is built on Five Elements:
Let us start with the Oxsight and Humanities ..
We see supporting the Oxsight and Humanities as a good starting point to enable Hong Kong companies to establish a position as leading companies in the world in the realm of ESG as we define it because:
- Oxsight is associated with a revolutionary technology developed by the Oxford University which could make significant contribution to Human Wellness and to the 1.1bn people who are suffering from various degree of vision loss, many of them are in the developing countries. As such, this would amount to major contribution in the realm of Social Investment and Social Enjoyment for Humanities.
2. This would also amount to also major contribution in the realm of Social Enlightenment as it would help to showcase what companies can do to help society and that what Adam Smith has conceived about philanthropy and others are really possible in the real world. The Oxsight and Humanities shall also be devoted to research and studies about how the 4 elements in the Smithian ideals about human society can be achieved and promoted in practice.
